Sautéed Bananas Recipe

Here is a recipe I came up with that even your toddler will like! Actually, it is possibly a very common recipe, although I don't know if I ever saw a recipe for this in all my searching for good recipes!

This recipe is simple and easy to make. It only has two ingredients to it! What I like about it is the sweetness of the bananas once they are cooked.

Serve them as a side dish or on top of pancakes or cereal. I am going to put some of mine in homemade yogurt tonight.

First, slice the bananas into pieces about a quarter of an inch wide

Next, let the butter melt gently in a frying or sauté pan. Add the sliced bananas.

Let the sliced bananas cook over low heat until they start to turn golden. You can make them as golden as you want to, but don't cook with butter on too high of a temperature or else the butter will burn, and the product will end up with a burnt taste.

Sautéed Bananas

2 bananas, sliced into 1/4" slices
3 TBS. butter

Place butter in pan and cook on low heat. When butter is melted, add sliced bananas. Continue to cook on low/medium heat until the bananas start to turn golden. If you like them caramelized, continue to cook until fully golden, being careful to not let the butter burn. Serves 2 as a side dish.

This recipe can be doubled. It reminds me a little bit of Bananas Foster.
